Within the 1200 square meters, today there are many new services that bring the Cultural Yards back to their original vocation, with the birth of a multifunctional workshop, a place open to the city for laboratory, design and production activities.
The spaces of the workshops are places of knowledge linked to tradition and innovation thanks to the involvement of migrants expert in craft techniques and local operators with skills in the use of electronic machinery. A real co-design and co-production laboratory for self-construction, experimentation and the use of modern equipment. The space is organized in three functional areas, all intended for activities and workshops:
- Ceramics and green building: a section for the processing of vegetable and mineral materials - such as hemp, raw earth, straw, posidonia - in the context of green building and bio-architecture: this is where lathes, kilns for raku ceramics and mixers for minerals are turned on
- Carpentry (manufacturing 4.0) equipped with laser cutter, CNC cutter, 3D printers. An area dedicated to those who want to experiment with the design and prototyping of objects, components, furnishings for eco-design, art and crafts
- Electrical engineering, electronics and robotics workshop: electrical circuits, programming, educational robotics
